In-Depth Review

Each section is our analysis of the manufacturer’s published specs unless it says otherwise.

Maneuverability

Manufacturer data

Weight8.1–8.4 oz
BalanceSwing weight 126; twist weight 6.75

Vatic Pro publishes a swing weight of 126 for the 16 mm V7, the highest of the Vatic Pro shapes we review, so it trades hand speed for plow-through.

Handle & comfort

Vatic Pro lists a 5.3 in handle: a mid-length handle that suits one-handed play and leaves a little room for a second hand. The grip circumference is 4.125 in, the most common size; players with larger hands often add an overgrip. At about 8.25 oz, it is in the mid-weight range most paddles fall into. Comfort is personal: grip size, handle length and weight are the published specs that affect it most.

Stability

Manufacturer data

Weight8.1–8.4 oz
Width7.5 in

A published twist weight of 6.75, the highest of the Vatic Pro shapes we review.

Build quality

Manufacturer information

The Prism pairs a raw Toray T700 carbon fiber face with heat-compressed texturing and an 8 mm-cell polypropylene honeycomb core (Vatic Pro lists "optimized C7 polymers and high-grade performance honeycomb"), with unibody foam-injected edge walls that Vatic Pro says enlarge the sweet spot and add control. The handle has two polyurethane inserts to reduce shock. It includes a paddle cover. Vatic Pro offers a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser (it excludes normal wear, grip tape and fading graphics). Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery: full credit needs a new, unused paddle in its original packaging, items that can't be resold may carry a 20% restocking fee, and $6 is deducted for the return label.

Feel

Manufacturer description and buyer feedback

Vatic Pro positions the Prism as its control paddle, with a plush, muted feel. It says the Prism suits players who find thermoformed paddles too powerful but older paddles too soft. As of October 2026, Vatic Pro's site shows an average of 4.9 out of 5 from 2,700+ verified-buyer reviews across every shape. In the most recent reviews, buyers most often mention its control, followed by power and price. As of October 2026, low ratings are rare (fewer than 1% are three stars or below): a few buyers found it lacked pop or felt average. Reviews on Vatic Pro's site cover every Prism shape. These reports don't add up to a consistent pattern.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Vatic Pro paddle should I choose?

Per Vatic Pro's own comparison, the Prism is its control paddle with a plush feel, the Saga its all-court paddle, the V-Sol Pro a high-power foam-core paddle and the V-Sol Tour its high-power, high-pop foam-core paddle with an Evergrit surface. The Prism and Saga usually cost a little less than the two V-Sol paddles.

Which Vatic Pro shape should I choose?

Vatic Pro makes three shapes: the elongated V7 (16.5 x 7.5 in) for reach and power, the hybrid Flash (about 16.3 x 7.7 in) as its versatile all-court option, and the wide Bloom (16 x 8 in) for speed, stability and control. Flash and V7 come with a standard (5.3 in) or long handle.

Is the Vatic Pro Prism V7 tournament legal?

Approved: the Prism V7 16 mm is on the USA Pickleball approved paddle list (checked 2026-10-02), along with its long-handle and 14 mm versions.
