Buy at PaddletekOur 1–10 ratings, built from the maker’s published specs and scored the same way for every brand. How we score
Calculated from our four ratings, weighted for each kind of player. How these are weighted
On our spec-based scale it rates 8.5 for power: the all-foam core and 8.0 oz weight add power, while the 16 mm core and standard 16 in shape keep it closer to a control paddle. Paddletek's own paddle guide labels it a power paddle.
A 16 mm core, raw carbon face and standard shape give it a control rating of 9.5, the highest of the Paddletek paddles we review. Paddletek says the foams increase dwell time for control.
Its PT-700 raw carbon face gives it a spin rating of 8.5; the standard shape earns fewer spin points than longer shapes on our scale. Paddletek says the surface keeps its grit under high-intensity play.
An 8 in face, 16 mm core and 8.0 oz weight give it a sweet-spot rating of 10, the top of our scale. Paddletek says the perimeter foam ring expands the sweet spot.
Each section is our analysis of the manufacturer’s published specs unless it says otherwise.
Manufacturer data
Paddletek publishes a swing weight of 113 for this shape.
Paddletek lists a 5.5 in handle: long enough for most players who hit two-handed backhands. At about 8 oz, it is in the mid-weight range most paddles fall into. Comfort is personal: grip size, handle length and weight are the published specs that affect it most.
Manufacturer data
A published twist weight of 7.0 points to strong stability on off-center hits, as expected from the 8 in face.
Manufacturer information
Honeyfoam is Paddletek's three-foam core: a low-density EPP foam core wrapped from the 4 to 8 o'clock positions in EVA foam, which Paddletek says adds energy return and dwell time, plus a perimeter foam ring for stability and a larger sweet spot. It pairs that with a PT-700 unidirectional raw carbon fiber face and a Shock Arrestor edge guard designed to absorb vibration. Paddletek covers its paddles with a limited lifetime performance guarantee against manufacturer defects when you register within 14 days (US and Canada only), and accepts paddle returns or exchanges within 30 days, with return shipping paid by the buyer.
Manufacturer description and buyer feedback
Paddletek says the three foams soften the feel at impact and lengthen dwell time for control, while adding power when you need it. As of October 2026, Paddletek.com shows an average of 4.9 out of 5 from 20+ buyer ratings. In the most recent reviews, buyers most often mention its power and control, followed by its sweet spot. The only rating below four stars is from a buyer who found it too powerful for them. These reports don't add up to a consistent pattern.

View review →Paddletek sells three performance lines. Honeyfoam, usually the priciest, is its newest, with a three-foam core. Bantam uses a polymer core Paddletek calls its most powerful, in 12.7 or 14.3 mm. Tempest, usually the least expensive, uses an SRT polymer core that Paddletek describes as more forgiving, pitched at touch and control.
Buy the 16 mm version if you play USA Pickleball-sanctioned events. Paddletek says the 14 mm version exceeded USA Pickleball's power threshold, so it is approved for UPA-A play only. Our review scores the 16 mm version.
Approved in 16 mm: on the USA Pickleball approved paddle list (checked 2026-10-02). Paddletek says the 14 mm version exceeded USA Pickleball's power threshold, so it is UPA-A approved only.
