Quick Verdict
8.5/10Research scoreA controlled, spin-friendly hybrid with the best buyer rating in Vatic Pro's range, at a budget price.
Buy at Vatic ProOur 1–10 ratings, built from the maker’s published specs and scored the same way for every brand. How we score
Calculated from our four ratings, weighted for each kind of player. How these are weighted
On our spec-based scale it rates 7.5 for power: the 8.0–8.3 oz weight and hybrid shape add some power, while the 16 mm honeycomb core keeps it closer to a control paddle on our scale. Vatic Pro positions the Saga as an all-court paddle with more power than the Prism.
A 16 mm core, carbon top layer and hybrid shape give it a control rating of 9, the joint highest of the Vatic Pro paddles we review.
Its T700 carbon top layer and hybrid shape give it a spin rating of 9. Buyers mention spin as often as power.
A 7.7 in face and 16 mm core give it a sweet-spot rating of 8.5; unlike the Prism, Vatic Pro doesn't list foam-injected walls.
Each section is our analysis of the manufacturer’s published specs unless it says otherwise.
Manufacturer data
Vatic Pro publishes a swing weight of 114–116 for the 16 mm Flash.
Vatic Pro lists a 5.3 in handle: a mid-length handle that suits one-handed play and leaves a little room for a second hand. The grip circumference is 4.125 in, the most common size; players with larger hands often add an overgrip. At about 8.15 oz, it is in the mid-weight range most paddles fall into. Comfort is personal: grip size, handle length and weight are the published specs that affect it most.
Manufacturer data
A published twist weight of 6.45.
Manufacturer information
The Saga uses a proprietary multi-layer composite face with a Toray T700 carbon fiber top layer over a 10 mm-cell polypropylene honeycomb "power core". Vatic Pro calls it its flagship, focused on power, durability and comfort. The handle has two polyurethane inserts to reduce shock. It includes a paddle cover. Vatic Pro offers a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser (it excludes normal wear, grip tape and fading graphics). Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery: full credit needs a new, unused paddle in its original packaging, items that can't be resold may carry a 20% restocking fee, and $6 is deducted for the return label.
Manufacturer description and buyer feedback
Vatic Pro positions the Saga as an all-court paddle with a responsive feel and more power than the Prism. As of October 2026, Vatic Pro's site shows an average of 4.9 out of 5 from 600+ verified-buyer reviews across every shape. In the most recent reviews, buyers most often mention its power and spin, followed by control and value. As of October 2026, only two ratings were below four stars: one buyer couldn't find the sweet spot and felt no pop, and another noticed one face felt grittier than the other. These reports don't add up to a consistent pattern.

View review →Per Vatic Pro's own comparison, the Prism is its control paddle with a plush feel, the Saga its all-court paddle, the V-Sol Pro a high-power foam-core paddle and the V-Sol Tour its high-power, high-pop foam-core paddle with an Evergrit surface. The Prism and Saga usually cost a little less than the two V-Sol paddles.
Vatic Pro makes three shapes: the elongated V7 (16.5 x 7.5 in) for reach and power, the hybrid Flash (about 16.3 x 7.7 in) as its versatile all-court option, and the wide Bloom (16 x 8 in) for speed, stability and control. Flash and V7 come with a standard (5.3 in) or long handle.
Approved in most versions: the Saga Flash 16 mm long-handle and both 14 mm Flash versions are on the USA Pickleball approved paddle list, but we couldn't find the 16 mm standard-handle version by name (checked 2026-10-02). Confirm the exact version before sanctioned play.
