Vatic Pro Prism Flash
Players who want a controlled, plush carbon paddle for less
PREMIUMPICKLEBALL GEARHead-to-Head Comparison
The Vatic Pro Prism Flash scores 9.0 and the Volair CTRL 1 Forza scores 8.5 on our spec-based rating scale. Calculated from each maker’s published specs; we don’t play-test paddles.
On paper these are close cousins: 16 mm honeycomb hybrids with foam in the edges, tied on our scale for power (8.5) and sweet spot (9.5). The face sets them apart. The Prism Flash uses textured raw T700 carbon and the CTRL 1 Forza uses aramid, which is why the Prism rates higher for spin (9 vs 7.5) and control (9 vs 8.5).
Buyers clearly like the Prism Flash: 4.9 out of 5 from 2,700+ ratings on Vatic Pro's site, against 4.8 from 20+ on Volair's for the CTRL 1 Forza. The Prism also usually costs less. Unless you specifically want an aramid face, I'd go with the Prism Flash.
