Head-to-Head Comparison

Paddletek Honeyfoam ESQ vs Selkirk OMNI Widebody

The Selkirk OMNI Widebody scores 9.4 and the Paddletek Honeyfoam ESQ scores 9.1 on our spec-based rating scale. Calculated from each maker’s published specs; we don’t play-test paddles.

Dan’s Take

Both are 16 mm foam-core wide-bodies, and on our scale they tie for power (8.5), control (9.5) and sweet spot (10). The gap is the face: the OMNI pairs multi-layer T700 carbon with Selkirk's InfiniGrit texture, while the ESQ uses raw unidirectional carbon, which is why the OMNI rates higher for spin (9.5 vs 8.5). One note: only the 16 mm ESQ is on the USA Pickleball list; Paddletek says the 14 mm version is not.

Buyers like both: 4.9 out of 5 from 30+ ratings on Paddletek's site, and 4.8 from 500+ on Selkirk's. The ESQ usually costs less, so pick it if you want the same forgiving foam build for less. Pick the OMNI if spin matters most to you.
