Head-to-Head Comparison
Onix Praxis vs Paddletek Tempest TKO-C
The Onix Praxis scores 9.5 and the Paddletek Tempest TKO-C scores 8.6 on our spec-based rating scale. Calculated from each maker’s published specs; we don’t play-test paddles.
Dan’s Take
Same elongated 16.5 x 7.5 inch outline, but the cores are a world apart. The Onix Praxis uses a 16 mm Endurafoam solid foam core, while the Paddletek Tempest TKO-C uses a 14.3 mm SRT polymer core. That foam core is a big reason the Praxis outrates it on our scale for power (10 vs 9), control (9 vs 8) and sweet spot (9.5 vs 8).
As of October 2026, the Praxis has 5.0 out of 5 from only 5+ ratings on Onix's site, too early to lean on. The Tempest sits at 4.5 from 20+ on Paddletek's. The Praxis is the pricier of the two, but on the specs it's the stronger paddle. I'd only lean Tempest if cost decides it.
