Dan’s Take

Same 16.5 x 7.5 inch elongated outline and a similar price, but very different builds. The Onix Lucent RC pairs a 14 mm polypropylene honeycomb core with a long 5.7-inch handle, while the Vatic Pro V-Sol Pro V7 uses a 16 mm floating foam core. On our scale the V7 rates a touch higher for power (10 vs 9.5) and control (8.5 vs 8), and the Lucent gets the slightly bigger sweet spot (9 vs 8.5).

The V7 has 4.8 out of 5 from 750+ ratings on Vatic Pro's site. Onix's site doesn't have enough buyer ratings on the Lucent RC yet to lean on. I'd go with the V7 for most people, and look at the Lucent if you want that extra-long, tennis-style handle.
