JOOLA
JOOLA Perseus Pro V
Aggressive players who want reach and consistency in fast rallies
PREMIUMPICKLEBALL GEARHead-to-Head Comparison
The Selkirk OMNI scores 9.4 and the JOOLA Perseus Pro V scores 8.8 on our spec-based rating scale. Calculated from each maker’s published specs; we don’t play-test paddles.
These two cost about the same and share the same elongated shape and 16 mm thickness, so the real difference is what's inside. The OMNI has a foam core and the Perseus has a polypropylene (PP) core, and on our scale that's most of why the OMNI rates so much higher for power (9.5 vs 8).
Buyers seem happier with the OMNI too: 4.8 out of 5 from 500+ ratings on Selkirk's site, against 4.4 from 350+ on JOOLA's. I'd still look at the Perseus if you want a slightly shorter handle or one of JOOLA's signature editions, but on paper the OMNI is the stronger paddle.
